Shangri-la Harbin

The concierge team was friendly and helpful, especially Camille Xiao, who was very thorough and made sure my parcel went out on time. The room was spacious for two, and the hotel is near the Harbin Ice festival. The Ice palace hot pot was interesting. Breakfast gets very crowded at peak times, so it's better to avoid those hours, though the food is replenished quickly.

The pool and gym are nice, and the location is very convenient for visiting snow ice festival. Staff were generally friendly and helpful. For the price in this area, though, I didn't really feel like I was staying at a luxury hotel. The rooms could probably use renovation.

For the price and Shangri La standard, this really isn't good enough. The rooms are tiny and outdated. It's fine for some random 3 star hotel, but beware before booking.

The hotel is close to both the river and the city center. It has 24-hour room restaurant service, a gym, pool, sauna, laundry, transportation, and other amenities. At certain times there's also a very nice band that livens up the lobby while you enjoy a drink. The staff were very polite and friendly, doing as much as they could to make the stay pleasant and help with my needs, often beyond what their roles required. Have a look at their site.
