The place felt a bit creepy to me, maybe because it seemed like an old establishment, though it’s actually a really nice hostel. I stayed in a clean bed in the female dorm, and there were only a few tourists there at the time. The bathroom is shared, and I wondered whether some men going in were guests or perhaps the owner. The staff were kind, and coffee is available for a fee. They gave me postcards, which got me started collecting and sending them. There are dogs there too! If you want an affordable place with friendly staff, this hostel is worth booking.

The hostel had a countdown music party, so I switched here for my fourth day after spending the first three near Central Street. I’d extended my trip on purpose to count down to New Year’s Eve 2025, and with the fireworks cancelled this year, staying here felt better than counting down on the street. I really like the warm, friendly youth hostel atmosphere. The boss and volunteers were helpful, and I loved playing with the dog HALI. Nie Ge, Harry, the girl at the front desk, and the cleaning lady all helped us. The cleaning lady even helped us check in and take photos in room 213. Happy departure again! It feels like a sweet home, and I strongly recommend it to solo travellers. Thank you ❤️
