Cordis Hong Kong

Our room was small, but that wasn't a big deal. The toilet was spacious, though there was no bidet. The shampoo and body wash smelled so good I almost wanted to take them home. The hotel was very clean, and the location was good, with a bridge connecting to a mall. Staff were nice, especially our housekeeper, who kept bringing us drinking water and was lovely with our child.

Babylyn at reception made us feel like long-awaited friends from the moment we arrived at Cordis, Hong Kong. She handled check-in, answered all our questions, and treated our daughter with such warmth that we felt cared for right away. She also found us an ideal floor and room placement with a beautiful window view. We're visiting Hong Kong for the first time, and our trip has extra meaning since our daughter Alexandra turns 10 the day after tomorrow. The hotel itself left a great impression, with clean, comfortable rooms and professional staff. Its location is remarkably convenient: just outside reception there's Starbucks signage, a lively Food Street, supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and plenty of everyday essentials. It gave us that Hong Kong feeling as soon as we stepped outside. Thanks to Babylyn and the team's hospitality, the stay already feels like part of a warm, memorable family holiday. We're sure celebrating Alexandra's 10th birthday here will be special. We sincerely recommend the hotel for its service, kindness, and location. ❤️

The beds and linen were reasonably comfortable, and the higher-floor views were great. The two-bedroom family room was also a reasonable size. But at around $3500HKD a night, this didn't feel like five-star value. The rooms were tired, with dated furniture and awkward bathrooms. The glass basins and counters were too small to be practical, and the toiletries came in a cardboard box because there was nowhere to put them. Breakfast had a good range and was pretty good, but staff were poor about handling coffee orders. Check-in and checkout were the biggest letdown. Nobody helped with the luggage at the entrance, so we opened the door ourselves, wheeled our bags upstairs to reception, then took them to the room. That's not five-star service. The hotel feels dated and worn, as if it tries to make up for that with little kids' packs and a decent breakfast. There are better places to stay.

Ming Court was a highlight of our stay at Cordis. The hotel's Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem, with outstanding food that deserves time to enjoy. Its soups are a must-try. This isn't a quick Cantonese meal, so set aside a couple of hours for the multi-course experience. It previously had a Michelin one-star rating, and the food quality still reflects that level. We were there for two nights to celebrate my parents' anniversary, and the staff made it special. I mentioned it casually at check-in, then the front desk surprised them with a complimentary mini cake and a bottle of wine. Such a thoughtful gesture. The hotel is in a central part of Mong Kok, connected directly to Langham Place mall and its food court, and just steps from Mong Kok MTR station and bus stops. Getting around was easy without taxis most of the time. Cordis offers comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality. We'd definitely return.
