Disney's Hollywood Hotel

The gardens around Disney's Hollywood Hotel are lush and well maintained, with a peaceful tropical feel. The pools look breathtaking at sunset, and views over the gardens or pool add to the calm. It’s a nice place to unwind after a busy day at the parks, with plenty of charm and comfort. There isn’t as much theming as at some other Disney hotels. Inside, the building and restaurants are very kid-oriented, with colorful decor and character-themed dining. Families with young children will feel at home, but the main building may feel too playful if you want a more adult-focused or luxurious vibe. Still, it’s a solid family-friendly stay with beautiful outdoor spaces.

The whole vibe was lovely, and this kid-friendly hotel made for a memorable stay. The reception staff were courteous, the buffet spread at Ink & Plate was great, and the hospitality at The Archemist was exceptional. We had a wonderful experience from check-in to check-out. 101% recommended ❤️

We asked for early check-in and noted when booking that we’d arrive at 5am with a toddler who needed rest. We were told the hotel would contact us once the room was ready, but heard nothing and only checked in at the official 3pm time. The email saying it was ready arrived at 3:30pm, after we’d already checked in. That was very disappointing. We were also surprised that toothbrushes, toothpaste and similar amenities cost extra. At other Disney hotels around the world, themed amenities are usually complimentary, so given the price we felt these should have been included. It would be helpful if the Disney resort offered an airport shuttle so guests didn’t have to rely on local taxis. On our last day, we asked the hotel to call one. After we paid, we expected change. We thought the driver had gone to his car to get it, but he drove off instead, leaving us unsure what to do.

Feb 2026: The room was spacious, with enough beds for two adults and two children, and the hotel facilities were sufficient. The kids’ playroom was fun and free. There was a bathtub and an electric water filter dispenser in the room, and Disney+ was free on the TV. Slippers were provided, but there were no bathrobes or complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste. You can buy a set for $40, enough for four people. Our window faced solar panel installations, so the view wasn’t great. Soundproofing was average, and noise from the next room came through clearly.
