Germany Hostel

This felt very scammy, and I wouldn't recommend it. They told us to hand over our passports and then leave. We more or less fled the building. It seemed extremely sketchy. Don't go there.

Finding the building takes some effort. You have to walk through an arcade with Indian food outlets and grocery stands, but once we found the hotel, it was worth it. For a surprisingly reasonable price, you get a clean, modern single room. It has air-conditioning and a soft mattress. I especially liked the wooden panelling and engraved wall tiles. Someone put real care and thought into the room's design.

I booked a week through Expedia, but when I arrived they asked for extra money for cleaning. That was so unreal. I was two hours late checking out and they charged me for half a day, even though all their rooms were empty. Definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Great location and cheap, but the stay was horrible. The room, bed, bathroom, and sink were all extremely small and smelly. There was no tissue, bathroom shoes, or space for bags. The hot shower only worked for two seconds, the bed and toilet were dirty, and the hair dryer was broken. The lift was small and very slow.
