The best part was the staff. Doris and Anthony at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful, and arranged a higher-floor room even though I’d paid the lower-floor rate. Doris was especially attentive. Since the hotel faces a flyover, those extra floors really helped with getting a good night’s sleep. The hotel is new, clean, and the toiletries are great and more than adequate. My double room was great, though a little more space would make it better. It can get pricey in peak season, but the rate I booked was reasonable. The immediate neighborhood might seem a bit shady if you’re unfamiliar with Asian culture. A ten-minute walk gets you to Mongkok for lots of shopping and food, and the MTR is there too. Getting around Mongkok with large luggage can be tricky because there are so many people. I’d recommend this place if you want a clean room and great service.

Anthony emailed me before the stay to let me know I’d been given a complimentary upgrade to a high-floor room. I really appreciated the thoughtful gesture. Janice also made a warm, courteous impression at check-in and was genuinely welcoming. The team at Hilton Garden Inn Mongkok was attentive and hospitable, and I had a very pleasant, comfortable stay. The buffet breakfast was a highlight, with a wide range of choices. The location is excellent and very convenient, and although the room was on the small side, that’s understandable in Hong Kong. Micheal L at the front desk was warm and professional, making check-in pleasant. I’d happily stay again.

David and the team turned a room lighting problem into a positive experience. They acted right away to fix it, offered to move me, and did their best to keep me comfortable throughout. David handled it with care, urgency, and professionalism, so what could have been frustrating was well managed. As a Diamond Reserved Member, I wanted to thank them personally.
