Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel

Our flight was delayed, so we stayed at this Marriott and came away impressed. Staff met us at the taxi and helped with all our luggage, and check-in was easy with staff speaking excellent English. With gold status, we were upgraded to a nicer room with an ocean view. The room was spacious and very clean. There’s a shuttle every 30 minutes to the airport or back into the city for hotel guests. The pool and gym were impressive, and the changing rooms had a sauna and hot tub.

The room was comfortable, and the executive lounge was comfortable too. The lighting controls were the usual confusing lot, though the room felt reasonably modern. The bathroom looked recently renovated and was very clean. I arrived too late and left too early to try the restaurants. I heard aircraft noise around 5:30 in the morning, but nothing overnight. This is a classic airport hotel with plenty going for it. There’s a bus that takes you there in a short trip, and lobby service was very quick. The lobby had that lively airport-hotel buzz.

Getting around from SkyCity Marriott Hotel was easy. There’s a free shuttle to Citygate Outlets and Tung Chung Station, and the hotel is near the Ngong Ping Cable Car, Hong Kong Disneyland, and the bus station for Macau. Central HK and TST take about 45 minutes to an hour by Hong Kong’s rail system. Our room was clean, with good air conditioning and a really soft bed, so we slept well each night. The breakfast buffet was good, and the staff were helpful with things like room changes and extra towels. We had a very pleasant stay.

The calm atmosphere, nice pool, and good gym made this a comfortable place to stay away from the busy city center. My room was spacious, clean, and well kept, with a comfortable bed. Even though the hotel is close to the airport, the soundproofing worked so well that I barely heard any planes. Staff were professional and efficient, and helped with check-in and transport. The location is especially handy for Hong Kong International Airport and AsiaWorld-Expo, so it works well for business trips or a short layover. I’d stay here again.
