ICON Hotel

We were very comfortable from the start in our Club 38 Harbour room, with a spectacular city view by day and at night. We stayed at Hotel ICON in Hong Kong from December 25-30, 2025, and I celebrated my birthday there with my husband, which made the visit extra special. Breakfast came with a Club room, and we could choose the small buffet with à la carte options at the Above & Beyond Club Lounge or the larger buffet at The Market. Both had a very good range of Asian and Western choices. From a European perspective, the Western dishes could be better in quality and preparation, perhaps because a classic European breakfast is less common in Asia. We preferred the Asian breakfast, which was more like brunch and much better done. The Market is a better choice if you want more variety and to pick everything yourself. The staff are very young, since the hotel also serves as a training facility. A few seemed nervous at times, but everyone clearly tried hard. We felt welcome and looked after, and someone was always available when my husband or I needed help. Public transport was easy to reach, and there were lots of good places to eat nearby. The amazing egg pancakes, a famous local Hong Kong specialty, were a real highlight and absolutely worth trying. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

The breakfast was exceptionally delicious, and everyone at the hotel was attentive, efficient, and friendly. We had a room high up with a stunning view of the harbour. We'll stay here on future trips.

Victoria Harbour and several public transport hubs were only a short walk away, so the hotel made a great base for exploring the city. My wife and I had a great five-night stay in December while visiting Hong Kong. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout, and upgraded us at check-in to a partial harbour view, which really added to our stay. Our room was clean, well appointed, and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The gym was clean and fairly well equipped, though the morning sun was harsh and made working out a little uncomfortable. Breakfast was nice, with a good choice of local and Western food. It wasn't the widest spread I've seen, but it was enough for us. I especially enjoyed the Eggs Benedict from the live eggs station. Highly recommended for the rooms and location.

We loved the rooftop pool and its harbour view, and the filtered water tap was such a thoughtful, eco-friendly replacement for bottled water. Our room was comfortable, and the hotel felt clean, modern, and welcoming. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Breakfast had lots of local choices, with fresh fruit, pastries, and hot dishes. Everything was well prepared and tasty. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return.
