Nina Hotel Tsuen Wan West

The location was my favorite part. Two or three shopping centres connect directly to the hotel, so going downstairs puts you right among the shops and everything else. Our room looked modern and comfortable, with USB ports beside the bed that unfortunately didn't work. Since we checked in late, we didn't ask anyone to fix them. The TV had lots of channels, though finding a particular one was confusing. The bathroom design was stylish, but the toilet flush felt weak, and the shower got cramped when its curtain was fully closed. There was a grand feel to the lobby, and the lifts were impressively quick, which was useful on a high floor. A room facing the water also has lovely views.

Housekeeping was thoughtful: they cleaned every day, and if we'd missed the morning service, they called to ask whether we needed cleaning or fresh towels. The hotel is linked to a bus station and a shopping mall, which made getting around and finding food easy. We had some booking trouble at first, but the staff stayed patient and friendly and got it sorted. Our room was beautiful, and we were surprised with a complimentary birthday upgrade. They also brought a simple fruit platter and cake, a lovely touch. It was a memorable stay.

The room had a lot of useful space, including a large wardrobe, and the big TV worked well. There was a water purifier, so bottled water wasn't needed. I liked being able to control the lights individually, and the bathroom was spacious with excellent water pressure. The shower felt great after a long day. Housekeeping kept everything spotless, greeted me with a smile, and neatly arranged some of my things. The hotel is close to the MTR and has its own mall, with a supermarket nearby that also has a food court and souvenir shops. The elevator was fast and roomy, the hallways had air purifiers, and the broad lobby smelled nice. Even the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash had a pleasant scent. Staff were polite and helpful from arrival, and the stay felt comfortable and well cared for. I'd happily return.

For Hong Kong, this is a dependable and genuinely affordable mid-range stay. The rooms feel contemporary, with comfortable beds and pleasant harbour or mountain views. There's more room for your money here, though central areas are 30-40 minutes away by MTR. The station connection is a big help, and there are local places to eat and a large mall nearby. It isn't a luxury stay, but I'd definitely book again.
