Regal Kowloon Hotel

The room was spacious and clean, and the view was amazing. A bidet would have been nice, but otherwise we were very happy with it. The hotel is well placed, about a five-minute walk from MTR stations, bus stops, the TST Promenade, and Avenue of Stars, with plenty of restaurants and shops close by. We had trouble with our taxi when we arrived, but Mr Dennis Dulay, the Assistant Manager, solved it promptly and provided such good service that we could relax and enjoy a stress-free trip. Everyone from the doorman and concierge to reception and housekeeping was courteous and accommodating. I’d recommend this place and book again.

I’d heard good things online about the hotel’s customer service, and got to experience it for myself. Norja and Dennis went above and beyond to make our stay easy and memorable, and they were giving the same great service to the guests who came after us. I’ll definitely return and recommend the hotel to friends and family.

The location was a big plus, within walking distance of Nathan Road but away from the noise, with plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. Our deluxe room was clean, bright, and well kept. It comfortably fit two adults and two children, with more space than you often find in Hong Kong hotels, where it can be hard just to open your luggage. We stayed three days and two nights and had an amazing time. I’d recommend the hotel and would stay again.

The hotel’s location worked well. There are lots of nearby places to eat, the MTR entrance is a five-minute walk away and the platform another five minutes, and the harbour area is a 10-15 minute walk. The MTR gets you quickly to many points of interest. From the airport, we took a red taxi, about a 30-minute drive costing around 300 HKD, paid in cash. We walked to the taxi stand and arranged the ride there without booking ahead or using Uber. Bus and MTR fares were reasonable, about $1-4 CDN$, and tapping a credit card on entry was handy, though each person needed a different card. There were three of us, so we used three cards per trip. The room was more dated than I expected, with just two chairs, neither especially modern or comfortable, dim lighting, and only two USB plugs. The beds were very firm, and the bathroom lighting was dim too. It looked like caulk had been layered over old mildew. On the positive side, the temperature stayed comfortable throughout. Staff were helpful, and we got past the language barrier using Google translator. I expected a more comfortable room.
