Yin Serviced Apartments

After I’d stayed for a year and extended my stay, a pipe burst in my apartment last month, likely because of poor maintenance, and flooded the whole place. Repairs meant I had to move all my belongings twice, first to another unit for a couple of weeks, then back to my original apartment. The replacement unit wasn’t even clean. Despite all the disruption, the landlord initially offered no small rent discount. A few days after I posted this, the landlord offered a discount of one week of rent. I’ve also developed a skin problem that was medically certified as being due to the facility’s poor hygiene standards. The whole situation has been incredibly frustrating, and I wouldn’t recommend the Yin Service Apartment in Hong Kong (Wellington street), especially because the communication was rude. Some staff are very gentle, but management provides a very low level of support.

I lived here in 2025 and 2026 and would highly recommend it. Nice location, with organic fruit and vegetables available nearby. The table is comfortable and the shower is funny.

The rooms are spacious, but they were so dark because the windows are heavily tinted, and it wasn’t worth the stay. The room was very dirty, with dirt and hair on the floor, so I had to change rooms after checking in. I also saw lots of bugs flying around the shower and toilet area. There were a man and a woman at the front desk. The woman was okay, but the man was very rude. At checkout he didn’t ask how the stay was, say anything to me, or even smile. He also tried to charge me 200 HKD to replace a key card. Terrible vibes. I’ll never stay here again.

I come here often because it’s convenient, and the room is generous for the price compared with most 5 star hotels. It has kitchen appliances and a big fridge. The WiFi is weak most of the time and could be improved. The bathtub also looks dirty.
