The resort is quite far away, and some things like bike rentals, the spa, and entertainment are expensive. Still, Nankun Hot springs Resort is fun to visit. The hall and rooms feel grand, and the buffet has a good range of choices with tasty food to suit different preferences. There’s a fountain bath in the room for private use, either on your own or with close friends. You can also use the swimming pool, gym, and several outdoor fountains.

The rooms are nicely furnished, and the pool and hot spring are beautiful, but the place still feels like it's in the design phase, with some features unfinished. On a busy holiday there seem to be very few staff. There’s almost no retail service outside, and the breakfast feels more like three-star quality. Staff are scarce, and the food is mostly desserts, with hardly any fried noodles or rice noodles.

The hot spring water is comfortably warm, and the hotel is clean, with good amenities and a buffet offering plenty of variety. There’s a small restaurant across the road. Unfortunately, a nearby cement factory pollutes the area, leaving a layer of dust on the air and plants.

The bathing area gets crowded quickly, with only around 70 lockers, and they’re nearly always full. The resort feels cramped, the water doesn’t drain well, and there isn’t any conditioner.

The swimming pool was nice, and the room’s hot spring pool and accommodation were okay. The outdoor hot spring felt like it didn’t really fit.
