Maison New Century Nanxun Huzhou

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the Jiang Nan style building and gardens were lovely. There was a bit of a smell in the toilet, and I missed having a sofa and tea table in the room. Still, it's a good hotel and a great place to stay while experiencing this old Jiang Nan town.

Even breakfast worked for Western tastes, with options beyond savory food. I only wish I could have rated this place six or seven stars. The hotel feels like a whole village, with gardens, pretty patios and charming lanes that had guests photographing every corner. They even take you to the rooms by electric buggy. I've never seen a hotel this beautiful, and it captures the charm of the magnificent village so well.

Ms. Huang Yongli made a lasting impression on us with her warm, professional help during our stay in room 0925 from December 7th to 9th, 2019. She sorted out a room rate mistake made by another front desk staff member, carried our luggage to the room herself, and helped arrange transport back to Hangzhou. We're truly thankful. The rooms are spacious and well designed, and when we return with family and friends, we'll stay here again partly to show our appreciation to Ms. Huang. We are Taiwanese compatriots.

The grounds are really pretty, but the heater is loud. One room had a bathroom heater, yet the bathroom was cold; in another room, the marble bathroom was really cold too. For some reason, the bedroom and bathroom are about the same size.
