The tea plantations, village paths, and bamboo all around made for lovely hikes. We’ve visited more than twice and still love the place. We stayed in the castle itself, and the pool was beautiful; the spa was a treat too. The Chinese restaurant, naked eats, and kikaboni were all favorites, with great food and a fantastic drinks selection. Our driver took us from Shanghai to Naked Castle in Moganshan, a three-hour ride. A few days before we arrived, a personal butler got in touch to ask about any concerns or requests, including restaurant bookings, spa visits, and activities. Service was very good, just what we expected. It was a wonderful stay, pure bliss!

I was stunned when a checkout reminder was mistakenly sent to my ex-wife at around 2 pm on 27 Nov, 2022. The contact details I gave at check-in were correct, so that wasn't acceptable. To make things worse, my ex-wife then got my current partner's name, date of birth, ID card number, address, and other personal information. She said she got it from a personal friend who works for Naked Group. This was a serious privacy intrusion and, as I understand it, illegal. Naked Group's internal controls would have to be nonexistent for this to happen. I've stayed at Naked Castle a few times and used to be a loyal supporter of Naked resorts. The castle's elegant continental exterior and Scottish decor felt nostalgic, almost like a fairy tale, and we enjoyed two nights in a castle suite. The heated pool was like a hot spring. But now I can't help feeling betrayed. For all the polished elegance, the risk of personal data leaking is unacceptable.
