The rest of the staff were lovely, but what happened with our drinks was so bizarre and upsetting that we checked out early. We'd ordered mocktails, but got alcoholic cocktails instead. I don't drink, and didn't notice until I'd had about a quarter and started feeling bad. The waitress, Candy, had even repeated “mocktail” before going to place the order. When we told her, she laughed, charged us the cocktail price, and only offered 10% off after we complained. She also told me I was on holiday and should drink it slowly.

We stopped in for a drink and an early meal as the sun went down on a fairly quiet Saturday afternoon. It turned out to be a lovely surprise, a real hidden gem where it's worth spending some time. Great location.

I didn't stay there, just ate at the restaurant. The drinks were good, but the pizzas were more like frozen snacks. Different people's food arrived as much as 30 minutes apart, and we'd finished eating long before the last dish came out. The service was hopelessly slow, so I can't recommend it. It seems to survive because there isn't much competition.

Food costs a bit more than in town, but everything else was great. I had a wonderful retreat for the beach and writing, with a beautiful beach, lovely walks nearby, and super friendly staff.
