The hotel is in a great spot, with a walking trail nearby and a nice river view. My room was comfortable and the customer service was excellent. I also love the lobby bakery, but today customers were smoking inside it, which really upset me. Cigarette smoke is strong on the balcony, and I noticed it in some shared areas too.

The room was dirty, with mould throughout the bathroom and stains on the walls. The bed felt like concrete. They gave us a breakfast coupon, which turned out to be two yoghurts and two rice cakes left in the room the day before with no fridge. Payment was a big problem for an international guest. You can't pay with Visa or AMEX, and if you're foreign you have to use cash unless you already have UnionPay or WeChat Pay, which you can't get without a Chinese bank account. The staff also don't speak English, even though guests at an international hotel may not speak Chinese. On top of that, they kept hounding me during the trip. Once they hammered on my door while I was in the shower and didn't stop until I got out to see them. I've stayed at a lot of international hotels in China. This isn't the very worst, but it's among the five worst. I'd recommend staying at the other international hotel in the city.

Everything around the pool area was dirty, and the staff were unfriendly. The hotel provides a pool but no amenities, such as towels, and there was no shower before getting in. You also have to wear something to cover your hair for hygiene. For an international hotel, this was really bad. I'll never come back.
