Sheraton Jiangyin

The staff are quite service-minded, and Marriott Elite members get good recognition here. The rooms are large and comfortable, too. It’s a huge hotel, with a park right next door. One of the best places to stay in Jiangyin, and I’d consider it again whenever I’m in town.

The staff make this place stand out, always friendly and courteous. I also liked the club lounge, which is kept in excellent condition and gives you a quiet spot to relax. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained, though the decor could feel more modern. The Japanese restaurant is worth trying. The new Joy Club looks stylish, but it doesn’t seem to have caught on with many guests yet. There’s a gym open 24/7, a welcoming pool, and plenty of parking. It’s a comfortable and convenient option in Jiangyin.

I’m staying in a non-smoking room and can still smell cigarette smoke. The stench is hard to escape, it reeks on every floor of the hotel.

The room was clean, the bedding and bathroom were comfortable, and the staff were lovely and attentive. I liked the high domed ceiling and European-style decor. The happy hour lounge was great, though beer was the only alcoholic drink available. Wi-Fi worked well, while breakfast on the lobby level had a limited selection that focused mostly on Chinese food. It’s one of the better hotels in the area. It’s a little old, but still has Sheraton quality. I was told my room would face the garden, but the view was partly blocked by an unfinished building under construction.
