There are plenty of local places to eat within walking distance, plus a KFC and supermarket next door. The breakfast was delicious, mostly local dishes: huge bowls of noodles, braised pork blood, vegetable soup, tomato omelette, stir-fried wide rice noodles, porridge, and hot soy bean soup. The room was spacious and had all the necessary amenities, along with a small window you can open for fresh air. It's the biggest hotel in Jian Shui city center, but the cigarette smell was the main downside. I could smell it on literally every floor, even in the non-smoking rooms.

It wasn't a bad hotel, though the beds were a little hard and the hot water took a while to come through. There was a knife missing, even though it had been in the room the whole time, but management still wanted payment. Housekeeping should look a bit more carefully.

The lobby is incredibly huge, and sounds echo around in it! Everything else was fine, and it's a good place, probably the best in Jianshui. They turned off the AC when they thought it wasn't needed. Since I'm German, I like it a bit colder, so I had to complain twice to get it switched back on and the room to a comfortable sleeping temperature.
