The reading room was my favorite, so calm and special. This hotel feels peaceful and different from just a place to sleep; you can study, read, or enjoy tea there. I heard that education and learning are especially important in the local culture.

Breakfast was just so-so for me, but I’d stay again in a heartbeat. The room made a huge first impression: high ceilings, elegant wooden furniture, and windows from floor to ceiling made it feel more like a luxury suite than a standard room. There was a separate lounge with a plush sofa and coffee table, plus a walk-in closet and dressing area. The bathroom was giant and had a deep soaking tub, and the room controls were smart. It was so comfortable and spacious that I almost didn’t want to head out and explore Wuzhen, though I’m glad I did. If you like generous rooms, high-end amenities, and serene views, this hotel delivers.

We stayed on March 26th, when it was 25°C outside, but the room was 29-30°C and we couldn’t adjust the air conditioning. Reception told us the system was still in winter mode and couldn’t be changed. The air conditioning felt cool on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors, while the upper floors were very hot. The staff’s attitude wasn’t good, and they couldn’t fix the problem across more than a dozen rooms. It was so hot that we couldn’t sleep. Opening the window made things very noisy.
