Jiaxing Marriott Hotel

There’s a park on the far side of the hotel that’s nice for a morning walk or run. Across the street, the new mall has food choices and a Starbucks. Nicest place in town.

We only stayed one night and wished we’d had longer to enjoy the facilities. It’s a lovely new hotel with excellent rates, and our suite had plenty of space for our child to wander between rooms. We also enjoyed the views. Having lounge access made dinner easy, with a tasty spread of hot and cold food, drinks, desserts, and alcohol. Breakfast was very good too, with lots of choices. The staff kindly let us take a small box of food for our child, and the service was excellent. They really went the extra mile, just what you’d hope for from a five-star hotel. It’s a little out of town, though a short bus ride gets you around. I’m also not keen on the glass wall between the bedroom and the rest of the room. Unless you’re putting on a show for your partner, it gives the place a love hotel look. Even so, I’d highly recommend staying here for a break.

This Marriott is stunning, really large, with excellent facilities and spacious rooms. Breakfast was the one letdown. There was basically no bakery selection, and a hotel like this should pay attention to that detail, even if 99% of its customers are Chinese and aren’t used to having bakery items at breakfast.
