Pullman Jiaxing Pinghu Excellence

My room was comfortable, the gym was well equipped, and breakfast was amazing. The front desk also handled my very early check-in so well.

I've stayed at the Pullman Pinghu often, and the caring, friendly service keeps making me feel at home. Staff get in touch before I arrive to ask about my preferences and prepare my room, then check during the stay to see if I need anything. The facilities are another big draw: stylish modern rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows facing the city and lake, and there's an indoor pool, fitness center, and convenient parking with EV charging stations. One thing has changed since my earlier visits: the lounge seems to be in a different spot and open at different hours. I assume the change is meant to improve dining for guests. Aside from that small adjustment, the hotel offers great value for its high-end facilities and attentive service. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning.

The staff were a real bright spot. From the car drop-off to the elevator cleaning lady and the housekeeper, people were helpful and welcoming. The hotel itself didn't live up to the impression it made when I first walked in, though. Breakfast was a letdown, with limited choices and noticeably little meat; an omelette station or one or two pork or chicken dishes would have helped. The gym looked good but worked poorly, and I suspect the design was at fault, since the pulleys didn't move smoothly or evenly. The air conditioning also seemed off: the lobby always felt humid, while my room warmed up at night and cooled during the day, even with the thermostat kept at 23C.

A really nice hotel, with great service.
