The stay started off well, with a clean hotel, a nice lobby, and a location close to the west section of the old Wuzhen water-town. My room was clean too, but my mom's smelled like cigarettes, as if someone had smoked there before, and its air-con wasn't working. We asked the maintenance guy, but he said he was new and didn't know what was wrong or how to fix it. By then it was late, so she didn't ask to move rooms. Breakfast was only available as a pre-booked order, with no buffet. Check-in was very slow, even though there were hardly any guests. We saw only two other people during our one-day stay. It seemed like a nice hotel at first, but the service and the problems made for a poor experience.

I really love this place.

The place was unbelievably dirty, almost like someone was drying salted fish inside. Unless you've got too much money, I'd be too lazy to give it even one star.

The price seems to be for the location more than the hotel itself. You can get a decent night's sleep here, though there's nothing special about the place.

The room was an average stay, really. It was an acceptable size, and the bed wasn't overly hard.
