I was on a small private group tour in Eastern China and stayed for a day on 20/12/24. The room was a good size, clean, and modern. Bring your own coffee, though. Getting some elsewhere means a long walk in the cold unless you know how to order online. Breakfast was a Chinese buffet. There was white bread with one kind of jam, but no butter, so I just had coffee and eggs.

Breakfast was a real squeeze. The restaurant is on the fourth floor, seating is limited, and the number of customers far exceeds the seats. It felt like the restaurant cared only about making money, not serving breakfast to its guests. The building has 25 floors and five elevators, and using them was terrifying. Every elevator seemed to stop at every floor. People pushed in whether it was going up or down, trying to be clever, as long as there was room. Sometimes you had to ride from the fourth floor all the way to the 25th before it went back down to the first, or to a floor you remembered. The Dachang elevators always went up first, stopping at every floor, then came back down. It was truly a nightmare.

The room was bright, had plenty of outlets, and felt modern. For my eight-day, seven-night group tour in Northeast China, it was the most satisfying of the seven hotels I stayed in, and incredibly cheap for what it offered. I had booked a standard room but was upgraded to an executive room, which made me so happy. The carpet was very clean, the room was spacious, and the sauna voucher was a great deal. Right beside Jilin Railway Station, the hotel is in a lively area with restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Great value for money, highly recommended!
