There’s plenty of choice in the food, and I enjoyed it. The rooms are roomy, clean, and comfortable, a nice place to unwind after a long day. The strong sense of history gives the place a lot of character.

The indoor pool and gym are superb, and the hotel sits inside the City Walls. If you’re visiting Qufu, it’s a good place to stay. I also appreciated how service-oriented the concierge, front desk, and housekeeping teams were. Special thanks to CLAIRE and EMILY for receiving my documents and packages before I arrived. JW Marriott delivers a consistently high level of hospitality.

Right by the city wall, with the 22 hectare Confucius temple and garden close by. The rooms are fantastic and designed with Confucius in mind, and the whole hotel has a peaceful, meditative feel.
