I was there for a conference last October, and the room was fantastic. Everyone was very nice. There are two main restaurants on the first floor: Xianggong is an open restaurant where you can order food, and Kong Cafe is a buffet. Both are available for groupons on Meituan App. It’s about a ten-minute drive to Confucius Temple and Mansion, and 30 minutes to Qufu Railway Station.

The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and the facilities were great, with good dining choices, a spa, gym, and pool. Still, staff training seems lacking for an international hotel chain. They struggled with situations that other Shangri-La hotels would handle without a problem.

It’s near Yi River (Yi River) and not far from the three Confucian sites: Temple of Confucius, the Cemetery of Confucius, and the Kong Family Mansion.
