Xincheng Inn

The room was basic compared with a hotel, but it was clean and comfortable, and the price felt fair. For just ten yuan, I think staying the night and having breakfast is a good deal. They serve millet porridge, fried dough sticks, eggs, mantou, and local dishes. The welcome made the stay feel warm and friendly. I called Jinan to book, and the boss asked for our train number, arrival time, and surname, then offered to collect us at the station. When we got to Qufu, he was waiting outside and drove us to the hotel. We turned out to be a family, and the whole interaction felt cordial and harmonious. His father spoke to him as though he were a scholar, which was lovely to see.
