Eden International Hotel

The pool turned into a wasted trip: one staff member gave me the hours and said towels were available, but another said it was closed and dry. The information inside the hotel didn’t match. There’s also a gym and swimming pool. The hotel is nearby attractions like Yuci Old Town and the underground shopping mall. Breakfast has plenty of Chinese and Western choices, including millet porridge, thousand-layer pancakes, and diced eggplant and beef with aged vinegar. The rooms are new and clean, with good-quality amenities. The disposable slippers are thicker and more comfortable than usual, and there’s a basket in the bathroom for used large towels so they don’t clutter the room. I’d rate it four and a half stars.

There’s a spacious, elegant lobby, the staff are friendly, and the rooms are clean. They provide lots of free snacks, plus a coffee machine and water dispenser. If you’re in Yuci, stay here. You’ll regret it.

The staff were warm and attentive, and dealt with any issues quickly. I’ve rarely had service like that on my many trips to mainland China. The room facilities were quite good, the sheets and pillowcases were very clean, and the toilet and toiletries were all provided. The carpet was a little dirty, though. Better cleaning would make the stay even nicer.

The decor is elegant and lovely, the service is excellent, and there’s plenty of delicious food.
