Room 312 shows how worn the hotel has become: the carpet is full of holes, the curtains are torn, and the TOTO washbasin is cracked, yet none of it has been replaced. The design feels dated and the interior badly deteriorated, though the hotel once probably stood out locally with its large grounds and grand look. It belongs to FuHua Group (Fuhua Group), a Chinese company involved in real estate, hotels, commerce, and other industries. The property is spacious throughout, from the lobby and stairs to the meeting and dining rooms, kitchen, elevators, and hallways. Rooms have large glass doors and lovely views. Dinner was decent, especially the braised pork belly, and breakfast was fine too. What felt disrespectful to me as a tourist was seeing staff collect breakfast vouchers and then hand each guest just 1 boiled egg, something I hadn't seen another hotel do. The dining room has lots of food and drinks but no dish labels to guide guests, and there's no tea or coffee set out there. Chrysanthemum tea and red apple tea are available in the first-floor lobby instead. The low room price seems to be one reason groups choose to stay.
