I had a bright, spacious triple room with a private bathroom, and the landlady was nice. You can tell her if you don't need the room cleaned. It's a guesthouse in a typical apartment building, with a supermarket downstairs and convenient transport. The location is easy enough to find, and Australian Dairy Company is within walking distance. I'd highly recommend it.

For an early departure from China Ferry Terminal, the location is very convenient. If you're like me and just need somewhere to sleep from late night until early morning, it's tolerable. The security is a concern, though, since there are no individual safes and you have to carry your valuables with you. The bunk beds are cramped, with only curtains and the top bunk occupant's feet sticking out. I kept bumping my face during the night. The bottom bunk has such a low ceiling that you have to duck even to sit up, so sleeping is about the only comfortable position. You can use the shared living room when it's open, but when it's closed, the options are McDonald's or the park outside. I wish there were at least somewhere to sit.

The location is great, right across from Jordan station, and the value is good if you don't want to spend much. But at Daxiong hotel the building itself was in poor shape, and so were its cleanliness and facilities. The room was tiny, barely big enough to open a suitcase!

There were four triple bunk beds in the room. It smelled awful. I managed to sleep because I was tired, but I think anyone with a sensitive nose would have a really hard time.
