I was so glad I switched my booking to the majestic after checking the real reviews and photos on Google. I never even went to the other place I’d booked nearby. It turned out to be a great choice. Mr Win is a charming host, and the guesthouse feels safe and is right in the middle of everything. It may not be fancy, but the rooms are clean, the showers are warm, and there’s an elevator with a guard there at all hours. Public transport is easy to reach too.
The location worked well, right across from the MRT station, so getting around was easy. Rooms are small, as you'd expect at this price for a guesthouse in HK, but it's clean, well maintained, affordable and the service was good. WiFi worked well. There's no breakfast, and the toiletries provided were enough: shower gel, shampoo, paper and a toothbrush.
For a solo traveler who’ll mostly be out, the small room was just right. It was clean and had what I needed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, and the price seemed fair for the quality.
The guest house is right opposite TST MRT, with Kfc and mcd close by. For halal food, ebezener kebab and pizza is the nearest option. The room wasn’t too small, and the beds were high enough to slide luggage underneath. There’s a hot shower and a kettle for boiling water.
This has been the most comfortable budget hostel I’ve stayed in so far. It’s really cheap but still good enough, and the location is right beside Tsim Tsa Tsui Exit B2. If you want budget and comfort, go here :)
