The breakfast buffet was nice, and I enjoyed the à la carte dinner too. Everything was good.

The gym and pool are stunning, and the restaurant was excellent at both dinner and breakfast. The hotel is very well located. Thanks so much to Zoe for the great service and hospitality.

The service really stood out. The bellboy took my weekender without being asked, and check-in went smoothly despite the small counter. From there, we were pointed toward the guest elevators, with breakfast easy to find beside reception. The fitness center staff were especially kind: one gave us a quick gym tour and mentioned the sauna in the locker room, as well as the 24-hour gym hours. The sauna hours were 6-10pm, I think. Another staff member checked the next morning that we had everything we needed. Breakfast staff were attentive and welcoming, and cleared empty plates without waiting to be asked. I also had a nice chat with Ivy about Kunming's elevation at 6000ft above sea level, its specialty foods, and the famous brands people come here to buy. The Guangdong congee made to order, Yunnan rose pastries, and small pot rice noodles were favorites. The hotel is a brand new addition to Kunming city center, with convenient metro access and Plaza 66 and other malls within walking distance. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable to look at, with warm minimalist colors and everything inside brand new. I liked that there was no carpet, and the slippers were nice. The beds are wonderfully firm, so soft-bed fans may not agree. There were charging points everywhere, including wireless charging stands and USB-C and USB-A ports on both sides of the bed. The bathroom layout seemed a bit unusual, but my cousin said the building wasn't originally meant to be a hotel and was converted later, which made the layout make sense.

The service team was really attentive, and the hotel is brand new, very clean, and nicely techy, with wireless charging. Metro line 3 is right next to it, while the central shopping district and pedestrian street are about 10 minutes away by taxi. Loved it, and we'll come back on our next Kunming visit.
