The free laundry rooms were the standout for me, with washers, dryers, and soap dispensed automatically. The rooms were nicely furnished and newly decorated, and those on floors 23-28 had city views. There was no in-room safe, though. The bar and dining area are on the 8th floor in rather plain rooms without a view. The hotel is right in the town centre, making the old town, night market, and other central spots easy to get to. Eating and shopping nearby were simple. Breakfast starts at 7:30 am and had a pleasant selection of reasonable quality. Staff weren't especially friendly or helpful, and nobody told us how to connect to the wifi. Their English was very limited.

The staff were kind and tried to help, though communicating in English could be tricky. There’s no room service. Still, I enjoyed the stay: the bed was comfortable, the lighting warm, and the shower was great. The place has an old building's charm after a beautiful renovation, and it's in the city centre, convenient for exploring even at night. A solid Marriott Bonvoy stay.

Halal food and a mosque are close by, so there's nothing to worry about. If you're coming from Malaysia, you can use TNG or set up Alipay.
