Grand Hyatt Kunming

Bianca at check-in quickly and professionally sorted out a problem and understood what we needed. Everything else went smoothly, and my family and I would happily come back to the Grand Hyatt Kunming. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with staff helping us find vegetarian dishes and even making special vegetarian noodles. The hotel feels very new, and we were impressed by the room and its nice furnishings. There were also little animal sculptures tucked around it, including a panther beside the sink.

I was told it opened in Aug 2025. A striking, very modern hotel in Kunming, with smooth lighting that still keeps things bright enough. The water pressure and temperature were fabulous, and service was attentive. A real 5-star stay and great value.

Sherry at the Front Desk really made us feel looked after. She was warm and efficient at check-in, made sure we got a room with a fantastic view, and gave us helpful dining and sightseeing suggestions. The rest of the staff were professional and attentive as well. The hotel itself has a stunning lobby with high ceilings, modern design, and art, while our spacious, spotless room had panoramic city views and a very comfortable bed. Its connection to a major shopping mall is handy, and Green Lake Park and Kunming Old Street are walkable or a short ride away. Breakfast at the restaurant had a huge range of fresh, tasty food, from Yunnan noodles and local specialties to Western and international dishes. Grand Hyatt Kunming made our trip to the Spring City feel special. With its location, amenities, food, and service, I'd gladly return.

The place is palatial, and wow, that's about it in a few words. Staff were all great and couldn't have done more, including advice and sorting a taxi when needed. The gym is fantastic, clean, and well equipped, with drinking water and towels. The pool is clean and a good size too.
