The front desk staff didn’t speak English, so international visitors may find communication tricky. I’d recommend bringing a translator. My suite one night and standard room the next were both comfortable and well equipped. It’s a huge, stylish, luxurious hotel in Kunming, and I had a fantastic stay. I didn’t try breakfast myself, though other guests praised the range and quality of the food. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious stay in Kunming.

The rooms are so luxuriously fitted out, IG fans take note! The location is great, close to fast food, shopping malls, and entertainment. It’s easy to get lost trying to find your own room, though, and breakfast isn’t anything special.

There’s a supermarket right next door, Dierduo, with all sorts of things. The location is excellent, with lots of places to eat and massage centers nearby. A Grab ride takes you to the wholesale area: Kunming New Luosiwan2Phase has a building for clothes, leather shoes, and bags, while Kunming New Luosiwan3Phase sells Chinese herbs like pseudo-ginseng and Gastrodia tuber, along with other Yunnan products.
