Kunming Golden Eagle Summit Hotel

The room stayed warm even with the air conditioning set to 19 degrees, and it was dim with a view straight onto the hotel restaurant. I had to keep the blinds shut because people in the restaurant and park could see in, so there was no natural light. The key card took eight tries to turn on the room lights. After arriving tired around 8 pm, I called for help, but it took the person who answered a long time to find someone who spoke English. The welcome fruit came without cutlery, and getting even one piece took ages. The TV was hard to use, and the Wi-Fi instructions should at least be in English. Check the room carefully for a laundry bag, as I was charged for one I couldn't find in the cabinet or area where they said it had been left.

I was too tired to check for the laundry bag when I arrived, and they charged me when it couldn't be found. The room faced the restaurant and jogging path, so I couldn't open the curtains, and even with all the lights on it still felt dark. It took eight tries inserting and removing the key card before the electricity worked. The complimentary fruit came with no cutlery, and the TV was difficult to operate. I asked for help from someone who spoke English, but no one was available.

The room was great, and the service was too.

Great.
