The breakfast buffet is worth getting, and there’s late supper every day after 9. The attached restaurant also does a great job with Cantonese and local dishes. You can reserve private rooms at no extra charge for special occasions or banquets. Service was excellent throughout. The check-in counter always had at least three staff, sometimes five. Housekeeping was available any time during the day, and the hotel was accommodating with reasonable late checkout requests. We stayed in a well-kept family room made up of a king room and a room with two twin beds. It was decorated and furnished to be kid-friendly, though my child was too young to enjoy that. The hotel isn’t in the city center, but the subway gets you there in under 20 minutes.

It’s a little removed from the main attractions, though still easy enough to get around. I liked the quieter setting, and there are local food places within a five-minute walk.

The city view from the room was nice, and breakfast was included. It’s also an easy walk to the metro for getting into the city centre. A wonderful place to stay.

The hotel is well known in western Kunming and only a short walk from the subway. The staff were friendly and even helped me book a taxi through an app. When I checked out early in the morning, they let me pack some things to eat as breakfast.
