Kunming Sheng Shi Qian He Hotel

I’ve stayed here a couple of times while visiting the university nearby, and it works fine for business trips. The rooms are comfortable, if not world class, though the beds are hard and might not suit you if you’re not used to that. The subway is very close and goes straight downtown for a fun weekend. Breakfast used to be poor, but it’s not bad now, with mostly Chinese options. English is still limited among the staff, though that’s changing, and there’s now a concierge who speaks it well. I like that they listen to feedback and make changes.

You can walk to YAU campus, and the hotel has complete facilities. The food is good too. My one complaint is the room lighting: it feels a bit too dim to me, apart from the light above the bed.

The view is nice, and the hotel is close to the university and Kunmimg Botanical Garden. One of the best places to stay in Kunmimg.

The rooms are large and clean, though there’s no bidet in the bathroom. The big restaurant serves a range of Chinese food, with fewer international dishes. Wi-Fi isn’t very stable, and the hotel's cannot work at all. It’s a large hotel in Kunming, a little far from the city center but close to where the mission will be carried out.
