The location is strategic, with halal food and mosques nearby, but finding a laundry shop is difficult. If you don't speak Mandarin, communicating with hotel and shop staff means using WeChat. Be careful when booking a DIDI e-hailing taxi and confirm the pickup point, because the set location can change by itself. Sometimes a DIDI driver says they've reached the pickup point when they haven't, then claims we're not there and complains to get free money, or asks us to cancel after five minutes, which results in a cancellation charge.

It's in the town centre, and the top-floor restaurant has a good choice of food without being crowded. The bathroom is outdated and has mould in some spots. Showering in the bathtub feels dangerous because the surface is slippery and you have to step in and out. The cooler also wasn't doing a good job bringing the room down from 26 degrees. After I complained, the hotel upgraded us.

New Era Hotel felt luxurious and worth every penny. The room details were carefully done, the service was impeccable, and the stay went beyond what I expected. I'd call it the best hotel in Bangalore.
