It took our bus driver nearly 20 minutes to get the bus out of the hotel's cramped parking area, with other buses parked in the way. He drove very skillfully through a difficult maneuver. There was no hotel staff on hand to coordinate things, and management should look into the problem.

Inside, the hotel is really nice, even if the outside doesn't look like much. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and had handy details like USB outlets. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is limited and a bit tricky, though the hotel is in a popular area for local food, so there's a trade-off. Breakfast was included, with typical Sichuan dishes and a made-to-order dan dan noodle and fried egg station. It gets busy, so go early to avoid the guest crowd. The hot spring pools looked great and are well known, but I didn't get to try them. I was happy with my stay and would recommend it. It has a nice old-school Chinese luxury feel.

There's plenty to do around this well-located hotel. I loved the room service, they brought us what we needed on time. The shower was great too, and it even came with a FULL BOTTLE SHAMPOO!!!.

There was no air conditioning or fan in the room, and no door separating the toilet from the rest of it. We could open two small screened windows, though. A bit unusual.
