The location is a little outside the center, but getting a DiDi in Lhasa was easy and very cheap, so transport wasn’t an issue. It’s only about 1500 feet from the St Regis, which people generally consider well located. The hotel, built in 2023, has a Tibetan Minimalist design that still feels warm. Traditional Tibetan-style flooring, halogen bulbs, and no ugly compact fluorescent lights. The bathroom has the toilet and shower together, while the sink and Dyson dryer with attachments sit outside the door. Every room has WiFi, though it’s behind the Chinese Firewall.
