You can walk to Potala Palace in just a few minutes, and there's a charming pedestrian area with shops close by. The hotel is very central, and the rooms are modern, spotless, and generously equipped, with lots of outlets, a huge bed, and a very large shower. Staff were warm and helpful, and most could speak English. Breakfast was Tibetan, as you'd expect, with Nutella and other treats available too. Highly recommended. P.S. Tibetans love taking photos of Europeans 😊
