The rooms are a good size, though the shower area is small and the beds are somewhat hard. Sometimes there's only a little toilet paper in the room. Service is okay and breakfast is good. The hotel is near some nice attractions in Lhasa, but the lobby is missing a Western-style toilet, which many foreign visitors look for.

Handmade pictures and the distinctive room design gave the place a feeling of stepping back in time, and added to my experience in Tibet. I enjoyed my stay. The rooms were clean, the staff kind, and the hotel was perfectly located.

Dirty rooms, terrible breakfast, and a sense that they just don't care. This old, funky hotel is mostly filled with local travel agents, and busloads of travelers are sent there by them. If you have a choice, this isn't the place to stay.

Dust everywhere, and the room was really dirty. The carpet was stained, covered in lots of hair, and smelled like feet. The shower curtain was moldy. The beds seemed somewhat clean, but the sheets were torn.

The location was great, right next to an international restaurant with good food from a variety of cultures. The rooms were okay, and service was pretty good given the location. I'd stay here again.
