Adange Hotel

The room I was given in Building 2 was in awful shape. Its furniture was extremely old, the lighting was so dim it felt gloomy, and the bathroom walls were damaged and full of drill holes from removed fixtures that had never been patched or painted. There’s no front desk in Building 2, so getting help was inconvenient. My friend’s room was worse: it reeked of cigarette smoke, some lights didn’t work, and the shower was broken. We called the front desk and waited more than an hour, but nobody came to fix anything or even check the room. The entrance and hallway looked newly renovated, but inside the rooms was a different story. I wouldn’t recommend Building 2.

It’s pretty good, all right.

The breakfast selection was very limited, even though it was advertised as starting at 6:30 am. Drinks came in plastic bottles, and there was no coffee. Maybe there would have been more choices later in the day. The rooms also had that common cigarette-smoke smell in China. For a hotel calling itself four-star, it seemed below three-star by overseas standards.
