The old pup was a sweet bonus, and the place itself was clean, colorful, and cozy with a social feel. It seemed to be all foreigners while I was there. Best hostel I’ve stayed at in China. Ashley was really helpful and spoke good English.

Ashley and her brothers made our time in Lijiang wonderful. They can help book all kinds of activities at the best price, including romance love show and Tiger Leap. They also host a real Chinese dinner for just 25yuan. The room and bathroom were clean, with comfortable mattresses, heating blankets, and good equipment. There’s a rooftop and several outdoor tables where you can sit in the sun. Before we arrived, the hosts sent detailed directions from the train station or wherever you were coming from. They even took us to the station for our return trip. Fully recommend.

Tom was easily the most helpful hostel-runner I’ve met. He knew the area, sold tickets to Tiger gorge and plenty of other places, and put on shared breakfasts and dinners for everyone staying there. When roof construction woke us one morning, he apologized by taking us all out to dinner and paying for the whole meal. Great guy, great hostel. My girlfriend and I stayed four nights. The place was clean, the location was great, and the prices were reasonable. It was a fantastic experience.

A traditional home with lovely, spacious rooms, and owners who were amazing, warm, and welcoming. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the ancient town, and only a few minutes from the elephant mt trail head and sunset viewing point.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms felt cozy and clean, and had heated blankets. It’s close to the town centre. Strongly recommend.
