A lovely room with good facilities, helpful staff, and a good location near Lijiang old town.

The bathroom was cramped and narrow, but I loved that there was a bidet! I was so happy about it. There’s no elevator, though the staff helped carry my luggage.

Shuhe feels much quieter and more peaceful than Lijiang Old Town. You can wander through it and go to Shuhe Square to watch or join the Datiao (group dance/datiao) group dance. The hotel is right in Shuhe old town, just 150 meters from the square, and 6 km from Lijiang Old Town. The buffet was decent. There are lots of rooms, but they’re small, narrow, and low-ceilinged, so they feel a bit cramped.

It’s handy for sightseeing, right at the entrance to the old town. The staff can help with luggage, although there’s no elevator and guests have to carry their own bags. They don’t speak English, but Google Translate can help. The breakfast wasn’t suited to tourists.
