The rooftop is a real highlight, with a wide, breathtaking view toward Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (Yulong Snow Mountain). The host was so kind too. We shared tea and rose bread, or maybe rose-flavored pastries, and had a lovely time chatting through a translator app. The house has an old, traditional Chinese feel, with strong Naxi influences and lots of timeless character. It sits in the upper, high-altitude part of the ancient town, right among the old town atmosphere, and there’s a night market close by for evening walks and snacks. I’ve been here since yesterday, so this is my third day, and I’m extremely happy with the stay so far. There’s also Sakura Restaurant (Sakura Restaurant) nearby, a well-known place for Yunnan wild mushroom hot pot. A big plus if you love food.

The landlady was very friendly and ready to help with any problems. My mother has mobility issues, so she refunded us and arranged for us to stay at "Zai Shan Ye" at the foot of the mountain. My mother was very happy with that arrangement, and I’m grateful for it. The hotel also has panoramic city views and beautiful natural scenery.
