The hotel was really good, with everything we needed. Our room was cleaned every day and kept neat, and the room decor was impressive. The old town has all the supplies you need, and the restaurant decor especially stood out. I’ll be back.

At the front desk, Seven was warm and helpful, even sorting out our food delivery. We were welcomed with tea and a tasty rose pastry made by their affiliated shop. The rose pastry is worth buying. Song Zhu Ju was such a comfortable stay, with a cosy, clean room, cute design, and a peaceful little courtyard. It was nice seeing the staff play badminton there in their free time. The place is listed on popular hotel booking sites like trip.com, and its full name is Songzhuju · Coffee and Tea Holiday Villa · Designer Garden. It’s fairly close to chagee and about a 5-8 minute walk to the main road where cars can pull over. The old town paths are cobbled, so dragging luggage can be hard, but the staff kindly helped take ours to the main road when we needed it. The room had good amenities: a bedside humidifier, properly working bathroom doors, warm ventilation, and a shower with good water pressure. This was the most comfortable stay we had across Yunnan, and I’d highly recommend it.
