Hotel Indigo Hainan Xiangshui Bay

We wanted a quiet, unhurried holiday away from big-city crowds, and Marrriot suited that well. I work for a travel company, so I looked at the stay from a professional perspective, and my family and I had a great vacation. We stayed in Superior Harbor View rooms in the north tower. The hotel has a large property, a wide beach, and comfortable rooms. The south tower was being renovated. I’d suggest management build a breakwater in the sea, which could bring in many more guests from Ukraine. Special thanks to Leo Lu at the Island Kitchen Restaurant. He went out of his way every day to help us, answer questions, and be friendly. The management should recognize and reward staff like him. That level of service deserves respect.)))

The hotel itself is nice, but maintenance of the facilities is poor. The bathroom door was difficult to slide, and I got stuck inside. I called the front desk, and they contacted maintenance, but were told nobody was on duty. In the end, someone from the front desk came and removed the door.

I stayed on 23.06.2018. This is a superb new resort by the bay, outside the city. A true five-star hotel, with everything excellent: the breakfast, lobby, bed, room, amenities, pools, and staff.

There’s no executive lounge for Platinum members, though free breakfast is provided. There’s no shuttle to the nearby Gregory store, and it’s too far to walk there.
