The staff made this stay for us. They were incredibly friendly, spoke very good English, and gave us useful tips, including a noodle spot next door that we loved. They also shared a list of city sights with Chinese names and addresses, which helped with getting taxis. Their suggestions got us to see more of Luoyang than we'd planned. Thanks so much for all the help. We slept really well. The rooms were bright, tidy and clean, the bathroom was modern, and sound insulation was very good. It's an easy seven-minute walk from the station, and a taxi to the Longmen Grottoes cost ¥12-15. Watch out for the ride back, since some taxis there don't have meters. For the old town, the bus is ¥1 and takes about 40 minutes; a taxi is ¥20 and takes 15-20 minutes. Cards including Visa and MasterCard are accepted. We needed somewhere convenient for a very short stay near Luoyang Longmen high speed railway station and the Longmen Grottoes. Buling Buling worked out even better than expected.

David (Mr. Wang) at reception was especially kind and helpful. His English was good enough, and he gave us a list of Luoyang attractions, directions and taxi fares, plus a recommendation for a good nearby restaurant. We stayed two nights and got four free bottles of water each day. The hostel is about a ten-minute walk from Luoyang Longmen train station. Our room was clean and tidy, and the lobby was spacious and pleasant. I really liked this place and recommend staying here.

The place was very clean, and it was clear the young manager takes pride in running it. He was happy to sit and chat over a cold beer at the end of the day, and was also really helpful with information and booking inexpensive tours. The staff were super friendly and spoke very good English. A lovely little surprise, just a seven-minute walk from the train station. I'd stay here again if I return to Luoyang.
