With its long history, varied culture, and rich natural scenery, the town has several sights worth visiting. Langzhong Ancient City is known as one of the four greatest ancient cities. It has a history of 2,300 years and is also said to be the birthplace of Chinese New Year, earning it the title of World Millennium City. The city is laid out like a big chessboard, with orderly houses surrounded by rolling hills and flowing rivers, a setting considered quite auspicious in Fengshui.
